On August 5th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a symposium in Beijing on the handling of key proposals in the field of chemical new materials, listening to the opinions of National People's Congress and CPPCC members on the handling of proposals related to key materials for high-voltage cables, high-performance fiber materials, and chemical new materials. Wang Jiangping, a member of the Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The relevant heads of the General Office of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Finance and Economic Commission of the National People's Congress, the Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the People's Bank of China, the Bureau of Statistics, the Energy Administration, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, and other relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attended the meeting.



We need to strengthen communication and consultation, strengthen work style construction, adhere to problem orientation, conduct in-depth investigation and research, and transform the good ideas in the proposal into practical and hard tactics to solve problems, improve work, and promote development. We strive to achieve the goal of "handling a proposal well, solving problems in an industry", and effectively enhance the sense of gain for the industry and enterprises.



The meeting emphasized the need to focus on core responsibilities and take the handling of proposals as an opportunity to promote new breakthroughs in industry development.



Firstly, we need to have a deeper understanding of the importance of new chemical materials, which are the foundation of the foundation and a new growth point in the petrochemical industry. We need to prevent the "color shift" and "avoidance effect" of the chemical industry.



Secondly, we need to focus more on major issues in the material industry, address the shortcomings of insufficient integration and coordination of science, technology, and engineering, and insufficient emphasis on innovation in new materials and technologies, promote the integration of technology and industry, and systematically enhance the innovation and product supply capabilities of new materials.



Thirdly, we need to further stimulate the vitality of market innovation, play the decisive role of the market in resource allocation, better leverage the role of the government, create an integrated innovation ecosystem and policy system for industry, academia, research and application, and strive to unleash the subjective initiative of innovation entities.



Before the meeting, Wang Jiangping and his delegation visited the High Throughput Laboratory of Sinopec Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, the Laboratory of Plastic Technology Center, the Laboratory of High Risk Molecular Chemistry and Physics, and discussed with relevant personnel of the Institute to understand the development of new chemical materials industry.
